2. Cathodic Protection for Concrete Piles
Concrete piles are frequently
exposed to harsh conditions, such as moisture infiltration, aggressive
soils, and saltwater. These conditions lead to corrosion of the
reinforcing steel within the pile, which can compromise the pile’s
strength and stability over time.
How SARK EPC Protects:
ICCP System:
We employ impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems to
safeguard the steel reinforcement within concrete piles. By applying a
DC power supply through inert anodes embedded in or placed near the
piles, we ensure that the reinforcement stays cathodic, preventing
corrosion in submerged and exposed sections.
SACP System:For
localized protection in high-risk zones such as tidal areas or soil
with high salinity, we install sacrificial anode-based cathodic
protection (SACP) systems. This system provides cost-effective solution
for corrosion prevention.
Tailored Solutions: We
design customized cathodic protection solutions for each project,
considering the pile’s size, environmental exposure, and material type.
This ensures that the protection system is both efficient and
long-lasting while optimizing cost-effectiveness.
Ongoing Monitoring: SARK
EPC integrates advanced monitoring tools into the CP systems for
continuous assessment of the concrete piles' condition. These monitoring
systems provide real-time data, detecting any corrosion risks and
allowing for prompt corrective actions before structural damage occurs.
3. Cathodic Protection for Building Foundations
Concrete foundations are
often embedded in soil that may contain corrosive elements like
chlorides, sulphates, and moisture. This environment can lead to
corrosion of the steel reinforcement within the foundation.
How SARK EPC Protects:
ICCP System: For
building foundations, SARK EPC designs and installs ICCP systems to
protect steel reinforcement from corrosion. We place anode grids or wire
mesh systems within the concrete during construction or retroactively
in existing foundations. we implement SACP systems, offering efficient,
cost-effective localized corrosion protection.
Durable Anode Protection: We
use high-performance Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) anodes or Titanium anodes
for long-lasting protection, ensuring that the current distribution is
uniform and effective across the entire foundation.
Tailored Solutions:The
CP systems are tailored to the specific conditions of the foundation,
including soil type, environmental exposure, and size, ensuring the best
possible protection for the structure.
Longevity: By
implementing CP, we extend the foundation’s life cycle, significantly
reducing the risk of premature failure and minimizing the need for
costly repairs or replacements.
4. Other Concrete Infrastructure Projects
Corrosion of reinforcement in
concrete structures like bridges, tunnels, piers, and parking garages
can lead to cracking, delamination, and weakening of the structure,
posing risks to safety and performance
We provide tailored solutions
for CP system of all kinds of reinforced concrete structures. Please
contact our expert for any such requirement.
